Thom Browne Eyewear

Thom Browne, who opened his business as a custom suitmaker in 2001, has been one of the most influential designers in American menswear, thanks to his championing of a forward-leaning, somewhat unlikely silhouette. Browne nipped and tucked his pants and jackets to be schoolboy-snug, and raised the cuffs of his pants high-water high, encouraging men to forgo socks and show off those ankles. That his sartorial vision was ultimately convincing—convincing enough that countless imitators almost immediately followed suit—owes to both his imaginative conviction and his incredible tailoring abilities. And while he’s remained resolutely antiestablishment (this is a man who’s proposed fish-embroidered short suits for men and used more lipstick in his shows than most women’s wear presentations do), the establishment has come chasing after him. Case in point: the CFDA’s Menswear Designer of the Year Award, which Browne scooped up in 2006, and the ongoing collaboration that is Black Fleece—a full range, including his preferred abbreviated suiting, for Brooks Brothers.

EVH’s client Harrolds is the exclusive stockist of Thom Browne ready to wear in Australia so we also have the pleasure of working with Mr. Browne on both his eye wear and menswear collections.
